This group of researchers studies large-scale computational problems of the dynamics and thermal- chemical structure of the earth's mantle. Dr. David Yuen is a professor in the Department of Geology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus and a research fellow at the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute.
